Attention to detail. It is a quality, or attitude we all have undoubtedly heard about in our lives. Some of you may have learned it from your parents of teachers. Some may have learned it more forcefully from the boot of a drill instructor. Attention to detail is an important an often overlooked quality in our society. People often are only concerned with doing something just good enough to get by. Just good enough is not good enough for a Mason. While our lives may not always depend on our attention to detail, our reputation and legacy does, whether we realize this or not. It shows in our interactions at our places of employment, with friends, and even in lodge. Think about this. If it were not for our adherence to doing our best ritual work in lodge, under the guidance and scrutiny of our Ritual Instructor, we would jeopardize passing on our morals and values properly though the three Degrees of Ancient Craft Masonry each new Brother. That is something that we can never allow to happen. As summer comes to a close, and fall is on our doorstep, make sure to pay attention detail in all aspects of your life, not just in lodge. It will definitely help you keep your work square. So Mote It Be.
Sincerely & Fraternally,
John L LoSapio, Jr
